Just saw the voting on Byrd ammendment on senate floor...it was not accepted by the senate...

Votes in favor=14
Not in Favor = 85...

pretty good... I think thats a victory for now..

My perception is that the day this bill is signed all categories will be back to Current.. Keep putting your pressure and contact your representative in your region. Help yourself is the best policy...

What is this amendment has to do anyting with I-485? were any immigration legislations attached to this ammendment?

Yes it has clauses, which is related to recapturing old unused H1 and Green card visas and counting only primary applicant against the visa numbers for chargeability to that country for that year. You may need to pay additional $500 though…
