I wanted to know what is procedure for getting Citizenship for someone who has been in this country for the last 7 years.
This person came on a Humanitarian Parole in '94. The humanitarian parole was renewed every years for 5 years(she didn't know that one could apply for permanent residency after 1 year of Parole). Then she got her GC beginning of this year through family based(filed by her mother).
My question, is there a way for filing for citizenship, rather than waiting for the usual 5 years of PM. The reason being that she already has been in this country for almost 8 years now.
Any help/advice in this matter would be highly appreciated.
