How vaulable is EAD approval?

Hello All, I had applied 140 & 485 concurrently on Sept 22nd 2003. I got my EAD last week. Though online status shows that
I 140 & I 485 apps are still pending....
Whats the surity of getting Green card now? Why has the EAD been sent to me if neither of the I 140 and 485 Application has yet been approved?

So bottomline question does EAD approval mean anything to the green card application? does it increase chances of getting the GC?

You got EAD because you applied for it - if you had chosen not to apply EAD and hadn't filed I-765, you wouldn't have gotten it. As to its implication to the whole GC process, it means your application has passed the initial check, and you are officially in the waiting line. Hope this helps!
