How untrustful the Online Status Check is?

Hi All
Here is my time line.
Applied: April 17th, 2004
RD: April 19th, 2004
FP: September 28th, 2004
interview: Jan 5th, 2005

When I received my receipt #, I tried to check my online status about for a month but as it happens to so many, it never show up so I gave up on that. I got my FP done and I received my Interview letter. Suddenly last week I tried again to check my online status, and guess what it is working and more surprising thing is, its showing that it will take 750 to 999 date to process. Its not showing anything about my FP or anything... And I all ready have my date for an interview and still it is talking about 750 days....
Why they are trying to become so High Tech.

I come under Texas Service Center and Memphis is my DO. Surprisingly I never found any one from same DO :confused:

Hmm... Interesting. The Memphis timeline seems to indicate they are processing June 15, 2003 N400 applications. Given that timeline, you seem to have received your interview letter pretty soon! (about 6 and a half months of filing). Congratulations!

Mine is being processed at Charlotte and the Charlotte timeline for N400 is identical to that of Memphis. They are processing June 15, 2003 applications as well. My priority date is July 16, 2004 and the fingerprinting was done in September. My online status says "It's taking between 750 and 999 days for us to process this kind of application"... I haven't received any interview letter yet.

I'm hoping that like Memphis, maybe Charlotte is a little ahead of what the dates on the web say. Time will tell. If the Charlotte office is more or less working at the same pace as Memphis, TN, then I should receive an interview letter by early Feb, 2005. Let's see...
