Hello,
As most of you know, UAE does not recognize RTD. They require a national passport. Well, I don't have a national passport because my green card is based on asylum.

What does the law say in this particular situation? Am I allowed to renew a national passport? By the way, I am not going to COP. I just want to go to UAE with my RTD but my RTD is not recognized by UAE. What should I do?

Travel Document, safe to enter again ? which countries ?

Dear All,

if I am approved for the Asylum, I will apply for Travel Document, I know that I can't go to my country, but I need to see my family for couple of days.

Do you know which countries does NOT allow travel document holder of getting their visa and coming in ? how about Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey ?

Do you think it's safe to leave the state on the travel document? have you ever heard about any one had a problem when he was entering the states and refused to let him in ?

is it easy to get my family in to see me here in the states ? taking in consideration that their son is asylee.

Thank you

I think several Middle Eastern countries give RTD holders trouble, but Egypt and Turkey at least are good, as far as I know. The RTD is meant for you to leave and re-enter the US, so don't worry about that. It might be easy to get your family here if they have enough ties to their country. My grandparents came a couple of times.
