My U.S. girlfriend lost her husband a couple of years back. We have been friendly since and gone thru lots together. They had been married for a long time and naturally it's hard for her to get over, although she's getting there.
I am a UK resident and we now after constant Atlantic trips want to be together permanently. Thing is she doesn't feel ready for marriage - what her family will say and still in grief herself. I totally respect this.
In normal circumstances we both agree we would just live together - no problem. But this isn't normal circumstances as we are in different continents.
Any suggestions - anyone??? We certainly cannot continue as we are - its crippling us both financially the phone calls and flights.
