How to Receive Health Insurance After Receiving (a 8) EAD

I'm still waiting for an interview notice, but received my a(8) EAD recently. Currently I'm working at a restaurant, but the restaurant doesn't take care of my health insurance. I wonder how can I obtain health insurance as I already have the work permit? I was told by someone that as long as you work more than 20 hours a week, you'll be eligible to have health insurance, maybe through your employer. But I don't know how to do that.

On the other hand, if I have to buy health insurance on my own, how could I obtain it on that case? I called Obama Care hotline before receiving my EAD and was denied access to health insurance over the phone. But I still don't know how to apply now even with the EAD at hand. Hope you friends could offer me your advices, thank you very much indeed!!

Some employers help employees who work a minimum of 20 hours/week with insurance. You will have to find who they are. I think Starbucks is one. If you want to stay with your current employer, you will need to find insurance companies, and get information from them. It will be expensive though. When I was researching for myself, at a minimum, it is over $200/month.
