how to quit from consulting company?

I have just joined a consulting firm and have signed contract with them but now I am positive that I may get a job directly in a company.
so how can I avoid this consulting firm?

I hv not submitted any my documents yet.

If the employer haven't filed the H-1B, i wouldn't worry.

I would worry about breaking the contract with the consulting firm - depending on the contract value, them may come after you (or even your new company) for breach of contract or interference with business relationship.
