Hi,

My lawyer is an employee of my company and simply denied to provide me with any information about my job title, responsibilities and salary on my labor/I-140 application. He said my employer owns the application. I am planning to change the job using AC-21. How do I obtain this information? I read somewhere that lawyers can request it from BCIS. Is there any simple form that I can fill and send to BCIS?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

look under FOIA (Freedom of information act). If you have a new attorney representing you then (s)he should be able to get your files from the old atty - it is a matter of professional courtesy.

I am absolutely positive what your lawyer is doing is illegal. An immigration lawyer processing an individual's case on behalf of the employer is supposed to represent both parties interests equally.

Labor and 140 will not be enough unless you have approved I-140 and 485 pending for 180 days.

See the BCIS memo and analysis at many sites.
