I have a question:
After my Parents green card approved, do they have to stay in US for half year each year to maintain their green cards? How about if they don't want apply for citizenship later but just want to keep the green cards, can they stay most of their time aborad?
Thanks,

may be your parents could just apply for a multiple entries (good for 10 yrs?) vistor visa? so the quota of the greencards could be allocated to someone who really wants to live in United States?

Come on, direct relative immigration has no quota limit. It's hard for my parents to have visa with multiple entries.

that is true (re: no quota"). But again, I was trying being nice in a way. again, it comes to a moral standard about taking advanage of the system.
