How to know if FPs were accepted or rejected by FBI??? Experts please suggest..

While taking the FPs the person taking the FP told us that they can tell for sure if the FPs will be accepted or rejected by FBI.. but they try to do their best.

Is there a way to know for sure if the FPs were accepted or rejected by FBI??? A number to call ...

Also incase we find out that the FPs were rejected... what happens after that... how to get back on track????

Call FBI CJIS at 304-625-5590 -Option#2, Option 2 & option 9 to check on the status of your fingerprints submitted electronically for Immigration. You will be asked for your Alien registration number and to confirm some identifying info before they will release the status.

Are there any other options besides calling FBI directly.... to figure out whether the FPs were accepted/rejected by FBI

As far as I know not. No big deal in calling the FBI about the prints. Many people do it, so do not worry and just call them.

If your FPs are rejected as unclassifiable, you will be rescheduled to try again. This is very rare in light of technological advances in the scanning equipment used.

In the even rarer event that a 2nd set fails, then you will be instructed to obtain police clearance letters.
 
How many days should we wait after FP to check status with FBI. My wife was told by the technician her finger prints did not come out well and will be rejected. She was told to expect a letter for another session. The technician said her guidelines call for 2 attempts per finger.
 
I had called FBI about 25 days after FP, and they told me that my FP was run and sent to USCIS as cleared the same day.

A friend of mine called the FBI just one day after the FP appointment and was confirmed that her prints are OK.
 
Thanks for the number. I just called FBI and confirmed that my (and wife's) FPs were sent back the same day to USCIS. Now the wait for interview status change and letter begins :)
