How to increase number of citations?

Friends,

Is there any trick that I can increase my number of citations? I know there might not be any obvious answer, but let me know your views.

Do a research well and publish several papers in different journals. Also cite thoroughly others in your paper. Once it's published there is nothing one can really do, people either use your paper, or they don't.
For the EB1/EB2 application it's also important who puts reference on your paper, so explore those who cite your paper for their citations. If some Nobel prize holder cites your paper, this 1 reference weights more that 10 usual ones.

Do a thorough search: try different search engines, try various databases, ...
You may dig out more citations (you may not know who cited your work)...
Search this forum previous threads. There have been discussion on this topic. I don't remember exactly how they did the search.
Otherwise, if you can, wait for one or two more years till more citations come out.
