How to get TN Visa

If i get a job offer in the U.S and my occupation is listed under one of the approved occupations in the NAFTA agreement list then all i would need is to obtain the TN Visa correct?

Second question is once i get this TN Visa can i only get the 3yr max or can i apply to stay longer after the 3yrs is up? Or can i apply for some other type of visa after that if i end up wanting to live there and work permanently full time for the company?

Third and last question, I hear you simply have to go to the border to apply for the TN Visa (Does this include any International airport, say in Calgary,Alberta,Canada) which is were i live? Also most important if i want to go to the border to get this TN Visa what documents must i bring to have a great chance at obtaining a TN Visa?

I apologize for my ignorance but i've been searching on what seems to be endless websites for these exact answers and i haven't found one but this site has given me the most insight but i guess i'm simply looking for answers to my own questions.

Is there any way you could answer them for me? I would really really appreciate it. If you can't then maybe you can guide me to the FAQ's your talking about?

Thanks Nelsona! One more thing can i renew the TN Visa after the 3yrs or will they question that and want me to move back to Canada? Do you know anyone that has had that experience?
