How to Get labor certification Dcocuments

Hi Friends,

My old employer filed my GC labor for Phili. I need this labor certification documents to get my 7th year extension, But my old employer is not providing the document. I tired with state agency and they told they can's provide and suggested me to contct regional DOL. I am trying to reach them to get the information. Can anybody tell how to get those documnets.

Not possible unless your ex-employer or the lawyer co-operates.

FOIA

try to use FOIA - Freedom Of Information Act.

There may be some contact person in DOL/State dealing with FOIA. Contact them, get information for filing the petition and try to get the docs through FOIA.

mmandala - I was under impression that your LC is still with SESA. Sorry about that.

I have not seen SESA providing such information in any thread, but then FOIA is not restrictive too. Ask your lawyer to persue it - you may get it.
