How to get FP and Photos for EAD?

My wife applied for her 1st EAD at the Texas Service Center in late April, her I485 is pending there.

She has still not received any instructions about getting finger print and photo for the EAD. How does this happen when one files by post? She has a receipt for the application but this makes no mention of how to get the finger print and photo done.

I e-filed my EAD application and had to call the 800 number to schedule an appointment for prints and photo. Should she do the same?

I appreciate instructions from anyone who has already been through the process with a paper filed EAD application.

Father Mike,

The best thing is to call the BCIS and get first hand information. If u had sent the paper EAD by post as a certified mail with return receipt then atleast u know that BCIS have received your papers, esle it may happen the the mail is lost on its way (if not sent by certified mail)

Last year, I did the EAD by post and had sent the photograhs by mail along with the application. But had to go for fingerprinting later.

Thanks for what you have shared. She did send photos with the application and she has received the notice with expected processing time etc.

So I guess she just has to wait on the EAD, fingerprint is just for e-filers.
