How to fix my situation?

I got married to an American citizen about 7 years ago when I was 18. I applied for Permanent residence. I got my temporary alien card, did the bio-metrics, etc...
The interview was scheduled the following year. I was sick the day of the interview and I provided a doctor's note. I have then received a letter from the Immigration saying my case was denied because they couldnt hear back from the doctor to confirm. I contacted the doctor and he said some people who weren't introducing themselves were leaving weird messages asking for info about me and as a medical secrecy he did not contact back.

At the time, my lawyer said I had the option to reconsider/reopen my case within two weeks, but I had to pay him another $1000 on top of the $3000 I already paid him +USCIS fee, I was young and stupid so I just gave up, completely ignored this and moved on with my life in the states.

My wife and I later separated and she moved to another state. We are still married as of today but we aren't talking to each other.

It was all fine for me being in this situation but now I have the need to go see my family overseas and I am here stuck in the US.

It's been over 7 years that I am here, this is my home now, I have my life and career here and going back is not an option.

I was hoping that Obama would do some type of amnesty thing but he ain't doing much since he's in the office.

Anyway, my question here is, what can I do to be an American citizen at this point?

Nothing. Unless you want reconcile with your wife and she goes through the process with you or you want to divorce your wife and coincidentally marry another American citizen who will file for you. Even that is not a guarantee because you probably have a deportation order or Notice To Appear hanging around your neck. Get a good lawyer pronto!

Good luck.

Thanks for your answer.

This sucks.
There's no way we can reconcile. We hate each other now lol.
And yes it would be suspect to marry someone else and refile.

How would I know if I have a "Notice To Appear" or deportation order on me anyway?
