If I were an IO and want to harass teh applicants with such issue. I can think up a lot of nasty questions
IO: "Do you really do it as the original charge says?"
The applicant: "Not really. I only concealed two clothese valued below $ 100"
the IO: "How are you srue they are worth less than $ 100. Do you have price tags? I would rather trust teh show owner in assessing their property than you"
The appllicant: (tongue-tied.) "I, I, I, I don't know".
The IO: "Have you ever done shoplifting before that"
The applicant:"No"
The IO: "So You only did that once in your life and you were just be caught?"
The applicant: "Yes"
The IO: "So you were not really good at shoplifting or you just had a bad luck that day"
The applicant: (murmured) "If one steals, one will be eventually be caught"
The IO: "Eventually? SO you admit you did that sorting thing not only once but was not caught before?"
The applicant: (silent)
The IO: "Do you know that you ahsould answer Yes to Q 15: have you ever committed an offense for whcih you were not arrested ? You answer No so you comkitted a perjury."
