I mailed my application for I130, I1485, I765: June 4th 2006. (marriage to us citizen based)
It was received June 6th according to the certified receipt online confirmation and the checks were cashed on June 14th. Not sure if I received anything from INS yet as I have not been home in a few days.

I'm a bit confused by your post, because the title of your post doesn't seem to have a correlation with the actual content of your post. Trying to put it together am I correct in assuming that you are wondering if INS NoA (receipts) require you to sign for delivery? If that is the case - the answer is NO! Doesn't matter whether you were home or not - the USCIS receipts come thru USPS and should be delivered to your mailbox, irrespective of your availability.

If you were asking about how to use a signature in your posts - you have the answer from Ironica and you may disregard what I said above :)
