How to correct applicant name spelling on the case to match the passport name?

Guys,

can you please guide me through the process of name correction after being accepted with wrong spelling? i there any request i should raise to KCC?

the issue i have is my middle name spelling in the passport does not match the name i have wrote in the first application, also it does not match the one i have filled in the 230 form.

Many mistakes are trivial and can be corrected. However, the eDV is somewhat more "touchy". If you have a good explanation of why there is a difference then they may change that. You could contact KCC by email or phone and explain.

Was your passport only issued after the eDV and DS230 forms were filled in?

Thanks SusieQQQ and britsimon for your prompt response.

the real reason for this messy situation that i was careless when i applied and i didn't thought i would win. the other reason that renewed my passort after i won just to process the application with new e-passport as my old one would expire through the process (beginning of 2014), and the immigration authority made a spelling mistake in the new passport..

Its only one letter in my grandfather name :(

Old passport: Abdallah (issued 2006) - Correct spelling
edv: Abdulla (11/2/2013) - My mistake
230: Abdallah (5/14/2013) - Filled based on old passport
New passport: Abdalla (issued 5/12/2013 but received 5/23/2013) - Immigration authortiy mistake

i can explain the 230 form (stick to old passport spelling) but i don't think of explanation for edv mistake!

will contact KCC and keep you updated with result.
 
Hmm. Considering the instructions are very explicit that you must enter exactly as spelt on the passport I'm not sure how successful you'll be with 3 different spellings of your name out there but maybe they'll be lenient.... Good luck... I do suggest you ask KCC though because there's no point going through the whole process if they're just going to deny you at interview.

Also, you really should get your authorities to correct the spelling in the passport if it's their mistake and it's wrong.
 
That can be a red flag for multiple eDV applications with slightly different names. What name is on your birth certificate?

My original birth certificate is written only in Arabic. i will have to submit a translated version which i believe it can be done with the correct spelling i require.

Guys, KCC replied to me, changing these mistakes is not an issue at all.

Guys, is it ok if I sent the forms to KCC with my name spelled like FamilyName Surname Middlename, and my passport might be(haven't got one yet) spelled FamilyName Surname-Middlename ? (with the dash)

That shouldn't be an issue at all.

I seem to recall someone else had the same or a similar situation and it was no problem.

(I presume you mean first name somewhere in your description though, family name and surname are the same thing)
