Just 485 receipt is enough with covering letter or we need to send any more info to them? Should we go in person or just mail it to them?

Check out www.congress.org where you will get information regarding the Senator for your state. The Senators telephone number and email address will also be listed. Try to ring up the Senator\'s office and you should get in touch with the person who is in charge of handling Immigration Issues.
He will then ask you to fax your letter to him. The letter should explain your problem and also give the 485 reciept numbers. The congress.org site has sample letter to Senator, use the format however modify the content. I hope this helps.
