How to contact immi. dept. staff via phone at Hilary Clinton's Office

Does anyone know how to contact someone from immi. dept. at Hilary clinton office?

I actually have tried calling her office more than 10 times in the past 2 days but when the person on the phone transfers me to the immi. dept all I get is the answering machine.. So please suggest as to how to talk to immi. dept. staff??

I can only confirm that I had the same experience today. I called 212-688-6262, asked for Imm. department, and heard a greeting on the answering machine.

Call them in late after noon or early morning

I have called a few times and no problems at all.
Also you need to fax all your doc.s etc before hand to make it easy.
I also got a phone call from them saying that my GC is stuck in Security check and they will be contacting FBI. Not that it will help my case ..but u never know.
I think the whole name check thing is just idiotic ..only desgined to delay the green cards.

I have tried calling them up before 10 am and also after 4:00 pm - but no success. Could you let me know the weekdays when you were successful in talking to someone? Probably that might help.

So were they of any help to you. Are u also stuck in name check? Were they able to find out your case status and other details?

Yes. They have some connections in both USCIS and FBI that they use to get info quickly. So far they confirmed through USCIS that my NC is pending. That took them several minutes. Next step was to find out if this is true from FBI. They did not have a chance to contact FBI. The person I spoke with told me it takes them 30 days to get a response from FBI. My impression is that they are overwhelmed with work in the senator's office, so things are also somewhat caotic. You need to remind them to get something done for you. That's why I called them. I'm planning to call them every two weeks.

Yeah, I am kind of frustrated with this name check thing as well. So far contacting my senator in NJ has only resulted in a confirmation that my NC is still pending. I contacted the senator's office last week once again - they are apparently going to follow-up with FBI and USCIS again. Don't know whether this route is fruitful or not.

I am now seriously thinking about filing a writ of mandamus!

Good. I just ordered a Civil Case packet from my district court. I'll just wait for the results from the cenator's office and then file the WoM. I think we should all sue the hell out of those bastards.
