I called the number 2023243625 that I found from this forum. A lady answered the phone and told me that they only took email request. The email address is FBInncp@ic.FBI.gov. I sent my request to this address but got an "Undeliverable" error. I tried FBInncp@FBI.gov. Got the same problem. Does anybody know the email address? Or is there any other way to contact FBI for name check status?

Thansk.

There is no other way, I am sorry. You have to keep trying, or better forget about FBI, save your time and nerves. They will reply that your name check is pending until they finish checking or whatever they do over there. You have no way of speeding things up. Unless you are going to fight in Iraq and in some other situations. Read the whole thread about "experience".

send them a certified letter

Yes, there is another way. do like i did, send them a certified letter. You will get a quicker respond from them this way. It will take between 3-4 weeks to hear from them. To get the form of the letter and other information regarding this method, please , refer to the name check thread at the top of this post.
good luck.

Well, you are right, but the chance of getting answer is about 25% (from my experience): 1 out of 4 letters was answered and in total it took more time to wait for this answer rather then waiting for the e-mail reply. But, if e-mail does not work ... maybe this is the only chance.

KOT,
with all due respect,
is somebody sends a certified mail to the FBI it takes much less time to get an answer than sending an email. An email takes at least 4-5 months !! wheras sending a letter takes approximately 3-4 weeks. Read the posts and you will see that yourself.
thanks for replying though.

Even if you choose to contact FBI thru either email or certified mail, yet still it won't clear your fingerprinting if that's what your motive is for contacting the FBI. Just give a serious thought that when they don't even give a shit to a request from a congressperson then what made you to think that you can pursuade them to treat your request with upmost priority if that's the motive you have in order to contact them? Just give us even a single reason as to why FBI should even give the damn to your request? Just because you pay taxes to govt., or just because you are a good person, or just because your services are desparately needed by United States, or just because you are a special person because you have a pending N-400, or what then? Don't you know how many people's fingerprinting requests are being pending with FBI for such a long time (even for 4 yrs for some unfortunate people)? Don't you know that there is no any law as of now which can compell the FBI to clear a fingerprint within a certain time? Unless you are a person for U.S. govt interests, you have no way to speed up the clearance of your fingerprinting with them. Period.

JohnnyCash: I appreciated your post, but it sounds like you are too emotional on this issue.

Why do I have to emotional? Just because I gave you the right information to save your time, effort, energy and agony with FBI if you choose to follow on that with them? I provide my opinion to help others, and not to get emotional, just in case you want to know that.
