Also, can one call and talk to BCIS (Vermont) regarding a pending application???
---- NO
Thanks.
I know it is frustrating to wait months and years for pending applications with BCIS and it is really tempting to call the centre and "talk" to officers there.
In the interest of all of us I think we should refrain from doing so unless there is absolute compelling reason to do so in which case this should be done by the lawyer or HR.
If each one of us here starts calling people at various INS centers then all these folks will be doing nothing but answering calls!! and further adding to the delay!
Thanks!!
“all these folks will be doing nothing but answering calls!! and further adding to the delay”
----- NCSC contractors are for ONLY answering calls they don’t approve your applications they are NOT sitting in service centers
Thats correct. This problem used to be in the old model, but since they changed to the 1-800 number, the service reps specifically and only deal with anwering queries. This, in no way interfers with the (slowwwww) work on pending applications.
Does calling the 1-800 # help in any way in processing??
There seems to be so much inconsistency in the processing times.. seems like it also depends on individual applications?? some applications are processed much faster than others!! does it depend on the company?? easy application vs. a hard/more complicated application. I know that there is such a thing in the Labor process (easy vs. hard) but I do not know if this is true in I-140 processing...
