How to Check LUD

Hello friends,
This is a great site. I have few questions to clarify.
1. LUD is what you see when you login in www.uscis.gov, entering your case number?

2. Or if it is something else, how do we check the same?

3. Myself and spouse finished 2nd fingerprinting early sept. I checked my case staus online, but nothing has changed. It is showing the same message(the 1st fingerprinting message). I was wondering whether they will change this or not?

It's best to go to https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp and set up your own portfolio. This way you will see any changes to your LUD and you will receive email notifications for important updates.

Usually the message changes to FP recvd within 6 days of doing your FP but not always. Some people have recently received approvals after doing FP2 with no change to the status message until the approval one.

so i far i thought LUD means messege by entering our case number .
to day i came to know that we need to create an account.\
thanks for knowing this.so now
1)what i need to select for user type .customer or representative.
2)i am in 485 stage and my FP and RFE both given. if i open an account is any problem or i can open an account at any time.

so that it will be help full regarding my case in near future???//

You are a "customer", not "representative"

You can open account at any time. No given problems that I know of, it is for your own benefit: you will be notified when something happened to your case, also you can check LUD

i opened an account.
what i observed is same messege with the date what i have seen normally from case status is similar with this.
so what exactly lud, of cousrse i have seen lud link.
