How to cancel h1b visa application

Hi

An IT consulting firm based in NJ contacted me for a position as a consultant. After a couple of interviews they told me I was hired. And they asked for 3,050 for h1 sponsorship. I have no experience in this, so I signed the non-solicitation agreement and paid the money. They company modified my resume in order to market me to their clients. I refused, and they did not bother me. A week ago, I wrote a withdrawal letter, and asked for the moeny and all the documents I have previously submitted. They tried to delay my time, and the person in-charge kept telling me that he can't reach the lawyer everytime I called. They rarely reply my email. I am now planning to go back to school, and I want to get this thing settled as soon as possible. What options do I have?

Why did you pay $3050, don't have confidence on your skill sets, education and experience.

If the company taking so much money for getting H1 means, they are not real consulting firm they are real "BODY SHOPPERS", unless your body is shopped you will not get paid at all.
Did you pay in Check? or Cash. If it is cash forget it? it is very hard for you to get the money back.
A lesson learned again

First of all, I am a recent graduate and have no experience at all in h1 application thingy. They told me that it was for attorney fee but later I found that's not the case. The problem I am trying to resolve now is how to stop them for using my documents for filing visa or for other purposes. I want my DOCUMENTs back. I paid to them in check, and I don't expect them to return my money. I indeed learnt a lesson. Now I tried to stay away from the consulting firm. Also i have sent them formal withdrawal letter.

I am doubt your consulting company have ever filed your application.

Even they filed your H1 you need not worry, it will not affect you. I do not think, you have given any original document. If it is copy let them hell with it.

Is there anyway that I can check it out? I don't want it to affect my future application. Just to be sure. I am always the "lucky" one. Yes, you're right. They only have copies of my documents.

Unless you have WAC or LIN number you can not check it. Contact your company attorney, he may help you to find out, whther they applied or not.

Even they apply, as i already post, you no need to worry about it.
