How to calculate 6 years on H1

I am not sure how to calculate the 6 year limit on H1. My first H1 Visa was approved on 12/28/1999 (As per I-797 doc.). I got the visa stamped on my passport on 01/25/2000. And subsequently entered US on 03/12/2000. Now when do my 6 years on H1 complete? Is it 12/28/2005 or 01/25/2006 or 03/12/2006? Please advise.
