Hi All,

I am an Asylum Applicant waiting for the decision. If my case is approved how can i bring my son from my country? I know that i have to submit form i730 for him after i get approved. I checked the Texas service center, they are processing the applications for september 2008. So it may take about 9-10 months. But, meanwhile, can he apply for visitor (B2) visa at the US embassy to visit his parents? He is 12 y.old, my other dependents are in US. If he can, should somebody accompany him, or he can come here by himself?
I will appreciate your input, please help me.

Why did you not include him in the original application?

He is in the application, but he is not physically present here in US. he is back in my country. When i came here with student visa, we left him with his grandparents.

yes, you can... if he is under 21 years old

Fill the application for him here http://www.uscis.gov/i-730

I was asking about the tourist visa (B2) not the I730. Can he apply for tourist visa at the US embassy if my case is approved to visit his parents? He is 12 y.old. I will also submit form i 730, but it takes about 9 months. right now Texas service center is processing i 730 applications for september 2008. I thought tourist visa would be quicker that i 730. i am being impatient because, i haven't seen him for 6 years.

you can bring him easly , my father is asylum ahd he applied for me while i was in my country. and know i am here in the USA as a derivitive asylum.
