How to add child to your case if your family circumstance change? What are the steps to take if you want to add a child ?

I have a child after I have entered the DV 2022 Lottery, and now I have won. What should I do to add the child to my case? This situation is a delay for me in filling the DS 260 form.

I believe @Sm1smom replied to you on the other thread. Add your child to your DS260, then use the "add applicant" function to create a new DS260 just for your child.

Will I attach the child's birth certificate in the DS260? I am asking these questions because someone told me to send an email to KCC requesting to them that I want to add the child to my case, then they will reply me with a new PDF letter like the one I received when I first check my result wherein the child name will be on it, before, I can go ahead and fill in the DS 260 form.

I think it's better if @Sm1smom answers your specific question because I am not an expert and I don't want to give you the wrong information/instructions.

The add an applicant button is made available to enable the addition of new derivatives without having to email or request some form of permission before adding additional eligible applicants. And no, KCC will not be be sending you an updated PDF letter with your child’s name listed on it. I’ve already provided you with the needed guidance on what you need to do.
