OK. I have sent numerous e-mails to KCC regarding my 2nd notification letter and every time they told me to check the visa bulletin after 15th of August, which of course I did and still do every day but all it says is current. No numbers, nothing. When should I expect to get 2nd NL? My case number is: 2014EU00033XXX

Visa bulletin release every month and for DV it has 2 sections. One the next month and another is next 2 months. When it stated as current mean it has enough visa to allocate to remaining visa applicants. Before it goes current, it will have cut off number and as long as your # is below the cut off number, you will have an interview schedule. The reason why each bulletin published next 2 months # is because it give you enough time to prepare all the required documents and do your medical check up. Police Certificate will take around 2 months to processed and issued so it make sense to give each interviewee at least 2 weeks in advance notice. As for your #, it will not get current until mid of 2014. Remember 2014 DV interview only start from Oct 13 and end by Sept 14. Good luck.

Hi,
Reference to the Visa bulletin of last year, I think ur interview will be on April, so u may receive ur 2nd notification letter on March.
Regarding reading the visa bulletin, if u r a DV2014, then u have to check the visa bulletin of Sep.
It will show u that for EU the current CN are up to 7999.

So basically those numbers refer to the last digits of case number? For example, this month's bulletin shows 8,000 which is below EU00008000 if I got it all correct?

Correct. With your EU33XXX CN you have quite a few months to get used to how it works. You and I will be waiting until summer next year I imagine....

Jesus Christ! My hair's gonna grow grey until then. I was hoping the interview will be on the October this year so I can move after new years eve. I guess I'll have to be patient. So how much money I have to have to avoid the affidavit of support term? $20k+?

LOL!

Your timeline was about right - just the wrong year.

They generally reckon on $10k per adult, a bit less for a child. Your occupation, assets etc can also be helpful factors.
