I heard from my lawyer that the gov't is going to stop the concurrent filing of 140 and 485. Does anyone know how soon that will happen?
Here's my situation. My LC was just approved, and I'm preparing the 140 and 485 filing. However, my wife has an important travel plan from late Oct - late Nov, which doesn't leave enough time to file 140 and 485 before she leaves. So, we are faced with two alternatives:
(1) File 140 and 485 concurrently asap, and postpone the travel plan, or
(2) Wait until my wife returns, and file 140 and 485 concurrently in December.
I would go with #2, but my concern is will the gov't stop offering concurrent filing before December? If so, that will probably push back our GC by 6+months.
Would appreciate any insight. Thanks...
