how soon can you enter the country on H1B visa?

i read that 10 days before the actual employment date, is that true? can i enter lets say a little earlier before 2-4 weeks?

----------That is true and at POE the officer may ask Job start date letter of US employer.

---------------- I don't think you can Enter 4 weeks advance. Talk to your Employer Attorney for more info.
