How soon can I file for EAD

I am on H1B and teh visa expires in august 2009. I would like to know how soon I can apply for EAD?

4 months prior, any earlier and it can be rejected...

120 days befor expiration of current EAD. If you do not have one, apply any time you like, it takes about 90 days to be approved

If you are on H1B, you cannot file EAD till you have filed for I 485
