Guys give me u\'r thoughts....
how easy or difficult and how safe is it to postpone one\'s FP ?.
Does it have any adverse effect on I485 processing ?.
planing to postpone for couple of months...
Appreciate responses guys .......

Hi,

If you can avoid then do not delay FPs. As it is that NSC is extremly slow in processing i485, in that why do you want to add the delay?

However if you have already got FP notices, then please go to your local INS & ask them if you can give FPs before your assigned date. I know most local INS allows you to do this. You can explain your reasons to them.

Also if your ND/ND is not in the current processing window then you can postpone FPs. Currently they are processing cases till May 01.

my RD/ND is in sep/oct

planing to visit India by end of April and returning by may end.I don\'t want to take risk of getting approved before I can add my spouse, even though getting approval so fast is unlikely.What do u say ?.
 
Then Go for it. Get your FP postponed.. Talk to lawyer first

But how are you planning to get your spouse in US? Do you still have valid H1? If so then probably you can get her on H4. However talk to a good lawyer before you take any decision.

It is better to get a legal opinion on this.
