How safe is this?

My Situation is as follows:-

1) Currently on H1B from Company A

2) Approved I-140, EAD and AP as a derivative beneficiary (my wife is the primary applicant). All under NIW.

3) Applied I-485 in September 2005, and still pending (both for self and wife).

4) Two days back got an offer from Company B.

I would like to know how safe it is if I use EAD to change jobs from company A to company B? Or is it better to get a new H1B from the new employer?

Your help is appreciated.

---------------- it is better if join company B with H1 transfer as back up if anything goes wrong with your spouse I-485 or your derivative I-485.
let the B file for H1 transfer with USCIS and once you get H1 filing reciept join B

Do you mind telling me any good DIY kit for H1 filing? I want to avoid the Lawyer fee, especially at this time, when the H1 filing fee is hitting the roof.
