How often does the Online status get updated?

Hello everybody,

Has anyone seen a pattern as how often the online status gets updated? Do they do it at the end of the day/night? Or do they do it live (I mean anytime they work on somebody's case)? My question is do they use like a batch system or something like that and update everybody's online status that needs to be updated at a certain time? I am checking my status very single hour and it's driving me crazy :( . If they do use a certain time (let's say midnight) we can just check after that instead of the whole day! Have you guys noticed anything?

Wow, every single hour? You must be pretty anxious :p
 
Online Status Schecdule

Based on my experience, they update the case status Monday- Friday usually on the following schedule:
11:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00 pm all Pacific Standard Time ;)

I guess this answers my own question. I found this on the case status FAQ's page:

How often is the case status information on this site updated?
The case status information on this site is updated regularly throughout the business day. If any action is taken regarding your case, the change will be reflected on this site within a few minutes of the action-taking place.

Well that's what the CIS website says. If you apply in 2005, that's when you should expect processing to be completed. It even goes on saying that this is just an estimate and it might take longer than that! !!!

Anyway, I have a strong gut feeling that I will get it this year, but you never know!

Great! if you get your this year, maybe I'll go back and come back to apply for assylum and I-485.

It will still be faster than my current state :)

P.S: No insult intended, just kidding :)

My mom's LUD (online) was changed at 9:00pm eastern time, so I guess the IO was working overtime or they have a program that updates after hours!! :) Just thought somebody, especially those who check their online status regulary, might want to know that they DO update their system after hours! :)
