Hi all and who can answer me plz do :D
i had missed my oath ceremony in NY 01/09 ( i did not receive the letter to go) i only received the letter to say i missed it...i did an infopass...and the lady told me that they r going to send it to the oath ceremony Dept so they can send me another letter ASAP as it has to be within the limits of 6mths of my fingerprints. Two questions how often is the oath ceremony ny & how many days notice after receiving the OATH letter do you get to attend the actual ceremony?:p i think i have one more, seeing that i went to infopass and they r going to convey my letter to the OATH dept, how long do they take to send me a new one as my fingerprinting time is almost up and if my finger print time is, how long after do i have to wait again? To many questions huh

I have seen some timeline when people receive OL and their OD is just over a week later so if you miss the letter, then it's almost likely that you will miss the oath as well.
That's why i keep calling IO weekly to see if they schedule an oath for me. I don't want to miss it in case the mail gets lost.

Where do u get IO #? As no one ever told me that number for NY, thanks alot i did mine in NY garden city could someone tell meplz so i can call

hello Baraider,

any good news so far. it looks like i had my interview one week after your second, i am pinning my oath letter to your timeline since i am one week after you. i hope we hear from them soon. good luck to us both:):):)

one thing I learned about uscis is that timeline is meaningless :)
when i applied, i was following the timeline of a fellow who applied exactly 1 week ahead of me. Guess what, my interview was in Nov 08 and his interview is in Feb 09. Who knows what happened.
So in all likelihood, you may get an OL before me. At least, your IO told you that your case is approved. My second interview, my IO told me that he got all document he needs and a decision will be mailed. My guess is that he can't approve anything on the spot like your IO.
what I do is calling the 1800 once a week, talk to IO. They will be able to spot if I'm scheduled for oath. Then, I will do infopass to get a printout of the oath letter in case i don't receive it in the mail. There are too many people who miss the letter so i don't want it to happen to me.

Yeah, good luck to us both.

from what i have read so far from this forum, having a recommendation for approval does not mean my application has been approved. i have come to believe that the final approval lies in the hands of the Supervisors. what is your views. how do i get to speak to an IO through the 1-800 number,

yeah thats my question too how do i speak to a IO officer no one has answered at all!! but everyone keep saying they talk to one? Whats up with that!

from what i have read from this forum, there is a little trick(lie) that everyone uses. :):)we are being forced to use that. dial the customer service number(1-800-) and choose option 1-2-3 and tell them you have been waitinf for your letter for more than 90 days. they will definately transfer you to an IO. you have to be pleasant with them. no arguements please.:):)
