How much wait time after RFE response

Hi Guys,

I received a RFE (Employment and Medical) on 06/27/03, I submitted the response on 07/22/03.

The online status now says that they received the RFE response on 07/23/03 and it is taking between 580 - 610 days to process such cases, however since preliminary processing was complete therefore remaining time will be less than the maximum time stated above.

Usually how much time does BCIS take to approve cases after the RFE response, any idea??

Mine RFE dates and RFE recieved by INS are exactly same as yours. For Dec 2001 cases if you look at rupnet, most of the times approval is within 1-2 wks of RFE receipt. So Lets hope by next wk we get the approval. Good luck.
 
hate to be a party pooper....reality, one week to 6 months. guess depends on who works on ur case...hang in there, u'll get urs soon.

Sorry to disappoint you..We got our RFE on April 2nd and we filed back on April 18th. The website still says 510 days to process this case..

We sent our RFE on March 17th, 2003. Still waiting for approval.

My RFE received on 6/6, still waiting for the FBI security check, I did see people got approved 2 weeks after RFE, unfortunately not in my case :confused: :mad: :( :eek:

Thanks a lot guys, this is really an eye opener. Till today I was very anxious, now I'll be more patient.

For the benefit of everybody here, my RFE was 1. Employment verification letter, 2. Medical.

On my medical the Civil Surgeon had checked a box for some test to be reactive based on Preliminary analysis, though it was required to be checked only if confirmatory test shows positive (which was negative in my case). Now, INS wanted to know if there was any treatment evaluation in this case and if found infectious, then was treatment completed.

In my case since the confirmatory test was negative, therefore no further tests or treatment was suggested. So, for the response to this RFE the Civil Surgeon prepared a letter to INS, stating the whole process in such a way that a treatment evaluation was done and everything was found to be clear and no treatment required. Basically, she treated the confirmatory test as a part of treatment evaluation.

Based on one case: LIN-02-070-*****
REF received on July 24th, 2003. Approved on July 28th, 2003. The case COULD be approved very quickly, if lucky.

Guys, is this normal? I must be very unlucky. Seems the INS officer my cased was assigned to never bother to check the RFE cases.

I don't know what to do with it? Can I send complain to BCIS?
