How much time to get the EAD card after approval?

Any idea how much time its taking to get the EAD card after approval??
I am starting a new job on feb12th and my case was approved on feb3 . I was wondering if I will get the card on time.
If not what should I show as a proof of legal status to work??

EAD card not in the mail yet

My EAD was approved a little over 2 weeks ago and I haven't received the card yet. Is there anyone in a similar situation?

I called up the NSC 1-800 number to find out what needs to be done, and the customer care rep said that I would need to wait for atleast 30 days

I got mine in 5 days. Its a pretty standard response so try calling again.
 
EAD card not yet in the mail

I called twice today and once yesterday and all the customer care reps had the exact same answer . "Please wait for 30 days blah,blah ...".

Seemed like they were reading it out from somewhere.

Wonder why it says "Case approved,card mailed , if you don't receive it in 14 days..." when I check the case status on-line, when the standard wait time seems to be 30 days. I had read a couple of posts from those who are waiting for RFEs and they had all been asked to wait for 30 days before checking back with NSC.

Not wanting to add oil to the fire but, but once it took 4 (four) months to receive EAD card for my wife after approval :(
