How much time to approve my I-485

Hi,

I am new to this forum , I have a question, Last month on 08/06/2005 we(me and my wife) did code 2(index finger check,signature and photographs) stuff , the person who was doing our biomatics stuff , he told us , you will get approval notice by 3 weeks. Till now I didn't received any notice from USCIS.Please help me , how much time it take to get I-485 approval notice and Green card in my case ?

Here is my details .

Substitute Labor, EB2 category

Labor PD - 06/04/2001
Labor Approved Date - 07/25/2002

Concurrent I-140/I-485 File date 10/25/2004 , Notice Date - 11/01/2004
code 1 for me and my wife in Dec 2004
I-140 Approval Date - 05/19/2005
Code 2 for me and my wife in 08/06, LUD change in 08/08, 08/09
I-485 Waiting...

Your 485 ND is 11/2004.

You can check NSC's current processing time - the last I knew it was 6/2004.
There are way too many variables to make a guess, but I think you can expect it in a few months or so. (assuming things like namecheck etc have gone through successfully).

Mr Green is in a way correct ...

All though Biometrics is connected with Ur 485 adjucation -- its occurance does the effect the time line of 485 adjucation...

[Well they say -- if U delay Ur Biometrics -- Ur case will be delayed... But the converse is not true]

There are people who get 485 approved first and then go for Biometrics.


In short : Biometrics is just a automatic process on the way to GC.

NSC is doing real good in I-485 approvals these days
They officially displayed June 2004 by end of August 2005.
Now i can see lots of July august cases getting approved.
So if NSC maintains same speed and yoru security check is done and Immigration watch statistics works fine you will have I-485 approved on before december 2005.!!!!!!!
When I did my biometric in june I was also told my immigration guys that I am done...well, INS now takes biometric code 2 well in advance to issue Cards immidietaly after approval .....its procedure so no connection with approval................

My 485 RD date (EB3) from nebraska service center is April 29, 2004. I see that processing date for 485's are June 2005. Does this mean my 485 should have been approved by now? I did get a RFC for my birth certificate which was received by the INS on April 25, 2005, but I didn't hear back on the decision from them. I did get a notice from the INS that they recieved the BC documents I sent them? Any ideas on next steps? Anyone else in the same situation?

My RD for 485 is April 28 2004. So far I have received nothing from NSC about my case. I have done FP 1 in July 2004, and FP2 (Code 2 or BIO) on August 3. In fact today I called the NCS and initiated an enquiry. Hope this helps.
