How much time after 2nd FP?

HI Harshk,
I believe you still have time. My EAD is expiring on Jan 24th, 2004 and I am going to apply next week, NOV 1st week.
My experience I got my EAD approved within 60 days of applying.
Just keeping my fingers crossed, hoping against the odds that I might get I-485 approval in next 7 - 10 days time and that would save me lot of money.
My status got updated with 2FP on Sept 8th.
Anyway, Good Luck to ALL out there.

My RFE was rec'd by BCIS on Sept 3rd. I waited for a month and then initiated inquiry. On Oct 21 I got 2nd FP notice for 11/05 but I went early and got it done on the 25th.
Looks like consensus is that it takes 2-3 months after 2nd FP, but Ii think I have read that there is a difference between 2nd FP generated by system and 2ND FP generated by case officer. My finger prints expired in Jjune but I only got the notice after 1.5 months of RFE submission.

My 2 cents is : Apply atleast 90 days before the expiry date to avoid any problems.

Thats what i was wondering. With BCIS any thing possible. I have contacted Senator. They are sending a status request on behalf of me. Also i went in person to check the status, answer is still pending. God knows when will i get the GC.
