How many people are still waiting after RFE > 90 days ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, Just want to have an idea about how many people in this forum are still waiting for I-485 approval after RFE acked > 90 days, mine (for proof of legal status) is close to 120 days and still waiting, officer #109. Thanks,

Have no idea about it, we (my spouse and I) did our 1st FP in 05/03 (no 2nd FP yet), and process was resumed (06/11/03 message) on our case according to online status check. Not sure what is going on, maybe, the officer is on vacation ? the RFE was acked on 08/09/04, and still waiting. Actually, the RFE was for my spouse (derivative applicant) for proof of legal status of certain period (we have been in legal status all the time), however no RFE for me (primary, I-140 approved in July, 2004), though we filled out the forms the same way by our attorney (because we have made a 2-day trip to Canana while on F-1 visa, no record for reentry to USA using I-20, our attorney thus put our I-94 # and last entry as N/A in the forms which triggered the RFE).

March 02....112 days and still waiting

I am waiting for more than 110 days after acknowledging RFE by TSC but nothing happened, still waiting.........
RD: 03/21/02
FP: 04/01/03
RFE acknowledged by TSC on 08/11/04 regarding SR
Intent of Deny issued on 11/15/04 "Officer thought I was suppose to register" He was wrong. I had to appear before the judge on 11/30/04 and she told me that I was not suppose to Register, however, she registered me in the database to save me from other hassle"

AP: filed on 12/03/03 still waiting

seems like there are not too many people waiting for approval after RFE >90 days, anyone waiting for more than 30 or 60 days or have experienced waiting for quite some time before approval ? Thanks,

Question for sargodhian

I too got an RFE asking me to register even though I really do not qualify for it. I got the RFE just a couple of days ago and I immediately got a call from my lawyer informing me of it. She did not say it had "Intent to Deny". Can an RFE be an intent to deny? Alos how did you get proof to respond to the RFE. My lawyer sent them a reply with the details of my case that do not need me to register. Why did you need to see a judge?

What do you mean by Register? I have never heard of this thing before. Can someone please explain what it means?

"Register" here refers to the Special Registration that citizens of certain countries have to go through. If you have never heard of it...chances are you don't need to worry about it...

How about India..is it in the list of countries??

Yes, if your attorney says "You do not then take his/her wrods"

MeAndMyGC,
If your attorney says that you do not need to register, then he/she is correct. For some reason there are some screwy people in TSC who do not knwo what the hell they are doing. I think they jsut wanted to talke advantage of there "Power".
Anyway, goto the office where they told you to, and tell them everything, also take all the related information with you. You need your passport and I-94 with u.
I went on November 30, 2004 Atlanta office and the lady "Judge" told me the same thing that i do not require registration but since I was there she sujjested me to go ahead and register any way just to safe time and any further confustion.
Do not worry, you will be ok

FP done

My FP date was schedule for 01/04/05, I went yesterday for early FP and it took me about 15 minutes to get it done. There were not many people. They did not take my wife's FP since the notice was not issued to her name yet and they could not do it without notice.
Funny thing is that most of the staff at FP office is either Mexican or Oriental. I am wondering if their FP has been done yet
