I would request anyone posting details to post FP Results received (for you and spouce) and State. I am just trying to get idea how state and FP Result received effect the approval.

talked to INS around nov 1st. According to the person my case is still pending and not assigned to a officer

Can you please post more information like your state and FP Results received (for U and your spouce)
 
today morning i spoke with an iio, and he told me that my case is not yet assigned. He also told me that they are currently working on sep25th cases and mine was received on october 11th so it will take 2 to 3 weeks to assign. he said they are busy with the backlogs(explained me about their work ......etc).

no not mailroom backlog.
he said they are working more on temporary visas, i don't know what does that mean? but i said, o.k etc
