How many Nov.and Dec. 2002 files still waiting

Hi, I am seeing so many 2003 files approved everyday, how many 2002 files still left?
 
Hi, Onemorestupid, Did you request a status inquiry, If yes, what happen later? thanks,because i have almost same dates as yours.
 
Count me in too. We filled our I485 in the last week of Dec 2002 and God only knows where our applications are :mad:
 
How many more threads do we need to get this information ?

I don't want to sound mean here , nor do intend to, but frankly, how many
more threads do we need to repeat to know this ?

Let's take it as a fact that there are innumerable 2002 I-485 cases in
limbo.

I am one of them. Status Inquiry says "under Service Consideration blah
blah".

Instead of assessing repeatedly via one thread after another as to how many
such cases are indeed in limbo, why not talk amongst ourselves ? And see
what we can do ?

What's so bad and scary in the affected people getting a petition together
and trying to meet the VSC Director ? Is it really that hard ? Will the
people who do that get sacked by their employers if they did that ?

Maybe I am repeating myself, but I am indeed failing to understand....what's
so bad in a substantial number of people doing a focused civilized effort
to take care of the situation ?

I am sure after 15 days, there will be another thread entitled :

"How many 2002 filers still left ?"
 
Guys,

You should chill.. unless your cases are fairly complicated or worried about
sending wrong documents on your RFE's.

It is as simple as launching an inquiry on your case by calling the 1-800 number listed on your receipt notice. Ask these questions :
1. what is the current status of my case ?
2. which are the current cases being processed ? (Its obvious June 2003)
3. ask the customer service agent to enter status request on your case

If you see LUDs its a good sign. I got my approval last week after I called customer service 3 weeks ago. If this does not work in 2-3 months, go through your lawyer, senator, etc..

your approval should be around the corner.
 
I got a standard response saying that "The processing delayed due to delay in security check. We can not estimate how long it takes to process"

I have sent FOIA request to USCIS and FBI. Also sent an email inquiring about CIS reuqest on security check.

Got response for FBI FOIA. Response is "No Records"

How long did it take for you to get the FOIA back from BCIS? If not, what was the receipt date you got from BCIS?
 
One more early 2002 case

I am a april 2002 filer. 2fp expiring in one month. Told by VSC that my case is delayed by name check, no ETA.

Sumanta, what do you propose?

Others, how do you FOIA the FBI?
 
My proposal is simple...yet I dont get backers

I have repeated it time and again. It sounds the most logical thing to do.

All of us who have I-485's filed in 2002, get together on the phone and
talk about a plan, tentatively and prospectively to take a day or
two of leave from work and travel to meet the Director of VSC.

If a substantial number of us request, getting an appoinment is 100%
guaranteed. Remember, substantial, not 5 or 10. For example, a group
of 50-100 just CANNOT be ignored.

Then we meet the Director, explain all of our situations and submit a signed
memorandum. What are its contents...its not hard to guess but I say let's
not talk it here, rather let's talk on a phone conference or something like that.

Is that so hard ? If it is, can I just hear from one/two as to what's so hard
about it ?

that is a good idea, unfortunately Iam not in VSC or I would join.

what is the email address to inquire if name check is done or not?

I have sent it around Nov 15th to VCS. How long does it take to get a receipt number?

I got it in 15 days. I am following the forum closely. So far I have not seen anyone who has a receipt date after 10/1/04 got the papers.
