I called TSC today and was told that my Secondary security check is still pending.. dont know what it means.. but it killed all my hopes of getting approved this year...

I took multiple Infopass etc I was never told that my security checks are pending..

I called NSC to know my SR result, they read the status in "Extended review and need 180 days" what is this means my friends. Should I go for sleep now :(

No. Its a flavor of the month/soup du jour SR Response. From what I've seen, a vast majority of AOS applicants, regardless of service center, got the same response over the past couple of months. I think this is their June and July standard response. Its either this one or expect action in 60 days. I got the same response for my SR raised in June.
What this does not mean is that you take it at face value. I've also seen quite a few folks with the same letter getting approved within a month or two after their received this letter. Not that the same would apply across the board, but this response seems to be more of a mass mailing that anything else. I expect that their SR Response in August would be a page out of the Publisher's Clearing House...."You may have just won a billion dollars".....
