How many days to recieve the I-485 reciepts.

Hey Guys, Any indea how man days does it take to get the receipt notices (INS recieved my fedex on 05/02/2005). All my checks has been encashed.

My lawyer says it'll take 6-8 weeks to recieve it. is it a correct estimate?

Any idea what happense now once they recieve the application, I mean FP,AP,EAD how many days does it take to get all this.

I've got receipt w/EAD and FP notice after 3 months.

In my case it took less than a month:
I485 RD 04/19/2005;
EAD AD 05/06/2005 (I did not apply for AP);
FP notice 05/10/2005
