Code 3 = Code 1 + Code 2 so if you are lucky, you wont have to do any more. I read somewhere that CIS is aware that fingerprints expire because of their own backlog, so they are only getting Bio done for people that they can approve in the next 15 months. If that is true, and you dont disappear in the blackhole of backlogs, you have 15 months to go and no more bios.

Thank you, floyd. But my Code 3 notice letter only mentioned finger print without digital photo and signature. Is it possible that they might do all of this when finger printing?

My case is handled by NSC.

Dont know--both my Code 1 & 2 letters just said biometrics, no mention of photo/signature.

Code 2 is what they need for your GC. It's your index finger and picture.
Code 3 is fingerprints. All you 10 fingers. This is used by FBI for background check. It expires in 15 months.
You may or may not have to do Code 3 twice depending upon when your case is approved.

Thanks. I just did my Code 3 bios this morning. The process includes 10 fingers printing, digital signature and photo. There were a lot of applicants there but the staff are very skillful and it only took about 30 minutes to wait and got it done.

Good luck to everyone here!
