How:Make FBI clear my second FP (as per congressmen)

I got a call from congressmen today and said that all name check is clear and USCIS is waiting for the FBI to clear my second FP that was done on August 20th, 2007.

Is there a way i could expediate that?
Any phone nos to call?
Any letters to write? What can be done?
what details should i need to provide?

I was under the impresioon that second FP is only for the GC card printing...

FP's are cleared with in a day. You can call 304 625 5590 and they will ask your your A# and then will tell you when the results were sent

Did you call up FBI and enquire about whether they finished processing your FPs?

Typically FBI takes 24-48 hours to process FPs and return them to USCIS. The actual "upload" of those results and updating your case takes a highly variable amount of time, so this is what may be holding up your application. If FBI says it has returned your FPs, call up USCIS (or your Congressman's office) and tell them that the FPs have been returned to USCIS and the ball is really in their court.

FPs are valid for 15 months, so whenever an at attempt is made to adjudicate your file and it is found that your FPs have expired, you will be asked to FPs again. For "GC card printing", it is the biometrics that are required, not the FPs.

I guess the 304 is Washington DC. I willhave to wait until monday morning to call and ccheck.


WHat can i do , to check and confirm that the ASC (Local office) has uploaded the FP? I emailed them and they said they have uploaded August 22nd, but USCIS says they have not received them.

Would congressmen's office work with ASC to make sure they have been uploaded.....

Oh i did call FBI and they confirmed - mine and my wifes records has been cleared and sent back to USCIS same day (aug 20th). So is this a stupid reason by USCIS? How can they give stupid reasons even to congressmen?

Any way called the congress mens office and left a voice mail detailing the same. Not sure what next steps i should take.

I have taken a infopass appt too for next tuesday (25th)...

1. ASC -->> FBI --> USCIS

2. ASC -- >> FBI -- > ASC and then -- > USCIS.

Try option 3:

3. ASC -> FBI -> Some-database-in-USCIS -> Service Center Database -> Your file

The delay is usually in the database to database transfer. The most you can do is bug some IO in TSC to check why your FP results didn't get uploaded yet.

What exactly did they tell you that needs to be protected by security, apart from the fact that they processed and sent back your FPs on the same day?

They did not even ask my name to confirm, but told my address .

POJ method to get to IO does not seem to work offlate in the August/sept 2007. i usually try calling during 2:30 PST - 5:00 PST

Did any one have success via POJ /or/ any other method?

you would not be making 100 K anymore (assuming you make that in US)

but atleast 1 mn or may be 2 mn (in Indian currency)

you'll have a gala time man. you can then hire and fly some folks from here to take care of your home duties while you strive to move towards 3 mn from 2 working at a Patni or a Infosys
