How Long

Hi I visited egov.immigration.gov to find out the status on my GC and after entering my case number i got this message

"Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On February 16, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case."

Do i really have to wait 570-600 days?
Or do you receive it in a few months?

This is a standard message, does not mean you have to wait these many days.

can you please post your details (PD, Service Center etc.. etc..)

Technically they are supossed to respond within 60 days, but it really depends on your luck. If you have filed it in VSC, i think then you better start praying

not familar with the abbreviations
but my service center is in Boston.

I received similar RFE in June 2005 from VSC. Submitted everything and still my status says "On June 23, 2005, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case."

365 days will be over very soon....
