How long we can leave the country on Advance Parole

My wife has been in India nearly six months. She went to India on Mar 25th on Advance parole. One of my friend told me that we can't leave the country more than 6 months on Advance parole. In that case she wiil complete the six months by Sep 25.

I would be thankful if anybody please give the suggestion on this issue.

Your friend appears to be one of countless people in the AOS applicant community who invent their own rules. There is no legal bounds to how long one can stay abroad if the AP was approved before departure. The only limit is that the person must return before the AP expires.

------------------For entry to India you dont need AP, you just need Indian passport to enter India. India immigration has nothing to do with AP. AP is for entry to US.One of my friend told me that we can't leave the country more than 6 months on Advance parole.
--------- your friend is giving you wrong info. dont ask him/her in future.

In that case she wiil complete the six months by Sep 25.

One can depart the US if AP is filed and approved while in US. One should enter US BEFORE the AP expires (better to take flight 5-7 days before AP expires)
