How long to wait after interview?

Hello everyone!

My husband took his intervew/test for U.S. citizenship last October. He passed the test and all that, but we were wondering how long people usually have to wait to find out if they are approved to take the oath or not? We are using the Manhattan NYC office.

sometimes, your file could be just waiting for the finalization of the FBI name check to come out clear. I am pretty sure that is your case if your husband been waiting for 6 months and passed the test. One way to find out for sure is to schedule an info pass appointment and go toe the Manhattan NYC office. Even though the office is not really close, the drive is worth it. You can at least find out wheather the case is held up by the name check or not. and if not, then you can find out if your case is approved or not. And if the case is approved , you can even ask about the upcoming ceremony dates to put yourself in the picture. It's just my opinion.

H Sony, my friend had her interview and passed it on this week. The interview office said she should expect the oath letter will be coming in 3-4 weeks. Does it mean her NC is cleared from FBI?
